About day care and boarding
New client process
Boarding
If you are a new client booking dog boarding, we recommend bringing your pets for at least one day of day care prior to their boarding. This will allow us to get a proper evaluation on them and will also acclimate them to the boarding experience

Daycare

We recommend that new pack members spend a half day with us, preferably in the morning. This is to ensure that they are leaving with a positive experience. The dogs are all assigned to their own villa for a nap from 12-2. While most dogs adapt well to this, some may not respond well to it along with being in an unfamiliar place. If you are not able to do morning and need to bring your dog in the afternoon, please let us know and we will see if we are able to arrange this based on your dogs demeanor

We introduce new dogs to the pack in the yard since it is an open and neutral space. Arrivals start out in their own space in a sectioned off yard where they can see other dogs through the fences. We give time for the newcomers to grow comfortable as well as for the pack to get over the new dog excitement.

Because we use the indoor playrooms in the afternoons when it's too hot outside, we prefer new clients to arrive in the morning. The reason for this is dogs will often react differently being introduced in an enclosed space rather than in an open space. Our mission is to set all dogs up for success and send them home happy and healthy.

A half day of day care is from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm OR from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Please keep in mind that if you bring your dog as a newcomer in the afternoon during the warmer season, they may be kept isolated from other dogs if there is not a good opportunity to introduce them to the pack.
During the day, supervised play is indoor/outdoor. The time spent outside is dependent on the weather. During cooler temperature days, there is more time spent outside, while play takes place inside during hot temperatures or rainy days. Dogs can enjoy socializing, toy play, pool parties, and more.

Dogs will get a nap in the middle of the day to break up play time and enforce breaks for those energizer bunnies of the pack.

Overnight boarding takes place in our luxury loft. Each dog or dog family will be assigned their own cozy villa for sleeping. Cats will be assigned a space in the Kit-kat villa, which is separated from dog spaces.

Staff is present with pets during the day from 6am until 10pm.
At 5:30pm, boarders are sent to their villa for the evening and fed dinner. They go out once more, late night between 8:30-10:00 to relieve themselves once more before bed. Lights are out at 10pm. There is no staff present overnight, however cameras will be on dogs and will alert staff of any overnight ruckus.
About training
You can add training on to your pets day care or boarding reservation.
Group training classes: During the class, we will start with a pack walk followed by play time in the yard to acclimate the class mates to one another. After play time, we will work on behaviors. Behaviors trained include: Sit, stay, lay down, go to place, other basic obedience, socializing skills, and confidence building. Expect 45 minutes to an hour, depending on size of class.
Class Schedule:
-
Classes are currently on hold until we figure out a good schedule and finalize details
Here at Zoomies, we use a positive reinforcement based training method that is structured from the relationship we have with our pets. We don’t look at ourselves as the pets “owners”, but as their “Guardians”. Ownership implies property and our pets are not property, they are family members. Guardianship implies caring for a loved one. If you watch your pets, you will find that they often look to us for reassurance. That is what our training class is for. This is not an obedience class, instead we are going to be teaching you and your pet cooperative behaviors.
